Lemonade my left eye!

When life giving you lemons, make lemonade.... HA! I say, HA.

What the heck? I get the whole thing that a lemon is sour and not good on its own but once you doctor it, it can be a nice tasty treat. Oh joy! But how feasible is that when applied to a problem?

Things go bad from time to time, how do you make it into a sweet treat? Where do you get the sweet? No really, I would like to know.

I've had some crappy things happen in my life and there was never a clear cut way to turn it around, if it was truly fahcocked to begin with.

I am a wiz if something small goes awry, I can spin doctor with the best of them... lets say life hands you a problem with your transmission... no car for a week... Okay, options. You could start doing more walking, get some exercise, improve your health... okay that's good stuff. How about car pooling? Give you a chance to get to know fellow co-workers better, could improve teamwork... hmmm not bad, I'm cooking now.

Now, lets say you lose the ability to have children. Okay, yes that sucks, bigtime. Bright side? Maybe. Um... you can adopt and give a loving home to a child in need. Not bad, but does it soften the pain you feel, the loss of self, in not being able to conceive? Nope... that is just something you have to deal with and work out over time.

So the small stuff, I can do. What do you do with biggies? Death... Divorce... Dismemberment. What? I like alliteration! But what are you supposed to do with things like that? You can always find a bright side if you search, but can it ever compare to the sour to sweet transformation of lemons to lemonade?

Anyone?

Anyone?

Bueller?

Screw the lemonade... give me a martini or four...
